Theatre for today.

The passing of time is theatre’s main object, most delicate tool and greatest enemy.
Through theatre, I always seek to encapsule and dissect our shared now.

Augustas Gornatkevičius is a Lithuanian theatre director working with a wide range of repertoire and various audiences:
from shows for children to
contemporary plays and queer classics.

Collaborating with most Lithuanian theatres, Augustas searches for moments on stage that capture the present. He has won several awards for his shows and is nominated consistently in Lithuania’s prestigious ‘Golden Crosses’.

Alongside directing, Augustas is the head of ensemble at the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre and teaches theatre directing at the Lithuanian Music & Theatre Academy.

What’s on
